Your taps stay with you.

Tempo calculations
Your taps and tempo estimates are processed in your browser. We do not record audio, use your microphone, upload files, or send your BPM reading, timing samples or clipboard contents to a server.
Anonymous usage analytics
On the configured production hostname, Umami analytics is enabled by default unless you opt out. It receives the tool hostname, a fixed page category and basic actions: a first estimate, a half/original/double selection, copy success or failure, and a manual reset. Exact BPM values, tap intervals, URL search parameters, fragments and raw errors are excluded.
The analytics provider also receives technical request information, including the IP address and user agent, to process the request. Umami uses these to derive aggregate information such as approximate location, browser, device and visit counts. We do not add advertising identifiers, recordings or other analytics services. We send no page title or referrer in our explicit analytics payloads.
Your choice
Use Analytics settings in the footer to turn analytics off. This stops further sends on this page and stores the choice in this browser. Re-enabling takes effect after a reload. The preference is specific to this tool and hostname; clearing browser storage removes it. If storage is unavailable, analytics stays off.
Local development, staging and workers.dev hostnames are excluded. A QA visit using ?qa=1 is excluded before the first pageview and remains excluded for the same tab session. Automated checks intercept analytics traffic.
Local resources
Fonts are hosted with this site. The tool needs no account and creates no server-side tempo history. Your browser's clipboard permissions control whether copying is available.
Optional support
One-time support is optional and does not unlock tool features. PayPal's SDK and embedded support button load only after you choose Support. PayPal handles checkout and receives technical information for those requests, such as your IP address and browser information. It shows the payment methods available for your location. BPM Tapper does not send your taps, tempo estimates or clipboard contents to PayPal.
If the embedded button cannot load, you can choose a PayPal support page in a new tab. Support remains available when usage analytics is off. When analytics is eligible, it records only a fixed entry placement and whether the component loaded or failed, never amounts, payment status, payment links or payer details. A click or loaded button does not mean a payment happened.
